3 days to go...hip hip hooray!

We are almost there, hip hip hooray!!!!!

Angie and my brother arrived today, so the third bridesmaid is here and our family is almost complete.

They both took about 7 hours to drive from Cape Town, so we would like to warn everyone that there is loads of road works between Heidelberg and Riversdale, so please add an hour to your travel time.

Everyone is arriving from far and wide and we are feeling the love!

Danielle loves her wedding outfit so much, she didn't want to get out if it after the first fitting!

Amy arrived from London on Sunday, the bridesmaids are lining up.

Keep your eye on the weather...6 days to go

Come rain or shine, we are getting married in 6 days time! Keep your eye on the weather, we will also keep you posted, currently it looks like it will be a sunny day without any rain, but in the Garden Route you can never be sure! Make sure to pack something warm!

Pre-Wedding Party - join us at Emily Moon on Friday 25 March

Emily Moon is one of our favourite restaurants in the area, so we will be starting our pre-wedding festivities there with drink and dinner on Friday, 25 March at 19:00, so please join us if you are in the area.

Directions from Knysna to Emily Moon

On reaching Plettenberg Bay you stay on the N2 highway, passing the Shell Ultra & Engen Petrol stations. After passing the Goose Valley golf course on the right you will see a signboard for Mallard River Lodge/Emily Moon River Lodge. Turn left at the "Rietvlei" road sign (Penny Pinchers Corner). Follow this road to the end, approx 1.4km’s, where you will find Emily Moon River Lodge/Mallard River Lodge.

Directions from PE side

Continue along the N2 to Plettenberg Bay. About 5km from Plettenberg Bay you cross the Keurbooms River Bridge and after another 1km you cross the Bitou River Bridge. After another 1km you will see a signboard for Mallard River Lodge/ Emily Moon River Lodge and Rietvlei.

Turn right at the "Rietvlei" turn off 200m further on. Follow this road to the end where you will find Mallard River Lodge/Emily Moon River Lodge.

We have 11 days to go and the very basic understanding of the number 1 is that of new beginnings. When we see this digit doubled as with 11 - these attributes double in strength. Eleven represents male and female equality, the perfect balance...monkey and me.

Bachelorette weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are taking a break and getting the party started! Keep a eye on the blog, we will keep you posted! The boys are out and the girls are painting the town pink! Chat on Monday! Love you all! x

Sweet 16 and never been kissed...

In 16 days there will be lots of kisses and lots of sweetness! We cannot wait to have our cake and eat it too!

18 Days to go... Book Your Taxi

We've got 18 days to go and time is starting to fly! 18 made us think of the legal age for drinking... so just another reminder to book your taxi's for our wedding. Plett's traffic cops are really strict on drinking and driving so please have a look at our previous post for the details of our recommended local taxi companies.

21 days to go... Gift Inspiration!

Cutting it a bit fine this evening but after a couple of days apart while my mom and I went to dress fittings and did some last minute shopping in Joburg, 'monkey and me' spent the evening catching up over cocktails at Cornutis... and of course celebrating the fact that we have 21 days to go!

A number of people have contacted us for wedding gift ideas and although it is really not expected, we have realised that most of you insist on spoiling us! We have given it lots of thought and have agreed that for those of you who would like some inspiration, we would absolutely love to have a single special piece of art that can hang in our home and remind us of our much loved friends and family who were there to share our wedding day with us. I know how busy life can get but if you haven't booked your accommodation or flights yet, try to do so as soon as possible. Remember, SAA, Kulula and 1Time fly to George. We will do anything we can to make sure that you are there to share the day with us so please let me know if you need help booking your travel or accommodation.
